About Linda and Start of Cupcakes it all stated cupcakes It all started with a delicious dark chocolate cake that my Grandmother and my Mother made for me as a child. I loved it then and I still love it today. It was the spark that created my interest in desserts and pastries and ultimately cupcakes.

I like to think that I am carrying on my Grandmother's legacy by continuing to use and tweak her original recipes as well as fine tuning my own skills while attending culinary school. I find inspiration going through very old local cookbooks from my childhood days growing up in Pennsylvania.

I am passionate about the cupcakes I make and it is important to me to search out the highest quality ingredients available. Only natural flavors and extracts, the finest chocolate from both the United States and Europe, fruits from Napa and fresh local ingredients are used exclusively in my kitchen.

My goal is for you to experience a delicious homemade cupcake presented in a beautiful setting at 21 Cakes.

Why the name 21 Cakes? My inspiration was the 21 Club in NYC during the Art Deco era when things were glamorous and decadent... just like 21 Cakes!
